Putri Norizah – Songbird of Brunei
Local songbird Putri Norizah Ibnor Riza did the country proud by coming third in the recent 10th Asean Golden Melodies Folk Song Arts Festival-cum-Contest 2008 (AGM08) held last week in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. She won the heart of the judges with two songs entitled 'Hear My Heart Aloud' and 'Kesubukan'. The two songs were penned by well-known local composers, Hans Anuar and Joe M. AGM08 was the first international level singing contest participated by Putri and another local singer, Faiz Nawi. The first and second place went to singers from Malaysia and Vietnam respectively.
